Blood Memory by Greg Iles

Very disturbing read but that is what Iles is known for. He researches different social issues and turns them into incredible novels. Blood Memory is about good and evil and there is evil in this world. The setting was in a city that is full of mystery...New Orleans then moves to the spooky city of Natchez Mississippi. The main character was a women secretly attempting to manage her fragile psyche with alcohol, delving into the minds of rapists and murderers yet never allowing her own frightening past to creep into the foreground. After I read this all I could do was think WOW.
