Gym Candy is on the Abraham Lincoln High School Book Award list for 2010. As a teacher I found this book interesting in regards to how a high school male thinks. Also to the different drugs in the schools and how students are forced to use them to compete. The book does not shine a good light on sports today and what kids are faced with just to be on a team.
